By accessing or using the Canadian Home Stays website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

Eligibility

• Students must be enrolled in an eligible academic program in Canada.
• Host families must meet all hosting criteria, including completing a home assessment and background checks.

Application and Enrolment

• All applications must be submitted through the provided forms and accompanied by required documentation.
• Acceptance is subject to availability, program requirements, and final approval by Canadian Home Stays.
• A one-time, non-refundable application fee is required to begin processing.

Payment Terms

• All fees must be paid in Canadian dollars (CAD).
• Tuition, homestay fees, and optional services must be paid according to the payment schedule stated in your invoice.
• Late or incomplete payments may result in delayed processing or cancellation of enrolment.

Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued under specific conditions, as outlined on our Programs & Fees page. No refunds will be given for:

• Late arrivals.
• Voluntary withdrawals after program start.
• Unforeseen events (e.g. natural disasters, staffing issues, or political unrest)

Program Conduct

• Students are expected to follow Canadian laws and school policies at all times.
• Host families are expected to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Any violations or misconduct may result in removal from the program without refund.

Custodianship and Guardianship

• Students under 18 must have a parent/guardian in Canada or an appointed custodian..
• Parents are responsible for submitting the correct custodianship documents where applicable.

Health and Safety

• All students are required to have valid health insurance for the duration of their stay.
• Emergency protocols must be followed as directed by Canadian Home Stays and school authorities.

Program Changes and Cancellations

• Canadian Home Stays reserves the right to cancel or adjust programs due to low enrolment, government regulations, or force majeure events.
• Notice will be given where possible, and alternative options may be offered.

Privacy and Data Use

• All personal information is collected and handled according to our Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties without consent unless required by law.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, and logos, is the property of Canadian Home Stays and may not be reused without permission.
